Altar

A major piece of art, the relief sculpture of the Risen Christ, is located behind the altar in the main worship area. The relief is a bronze-like figure standing some 12 feet tall. It was the intent of the artist, Rudolph Torrini of St. Louis, that the piece show the joy and peace of the Risen Jesus, a joy and peace available to each of us through our love for Him and our faithfulness to God, our Father. Its theme, "Out of darkness - light," emphasizes the joy and hope of the Christian life.
