Go and Make Disciples
|
|
There are certain values that are core to who we are as a parish and
what we consider important. We call these our Heart Values. They are listed
below.

Our Heart Values

Our Expectations
|
Evangelization
We
recognize one another as gifts of God, inviting and inspiring all to become
disciples of Jesus.
|
- Believe the teachings of the Church contained in the creed and catechism
- Be an example to others of someone trying to live the teachings
of Jesus Christ
- Share your faith with your children and form them to be disciples
- Once a week, talk about some aspect of faith with co-workers, neighbors,
or friends
- Commit my five percent tithe to assist with the work of the parish
- Meet one new member of the parish each year.
|
Formation
We
embrace formation as a life-long journey of spiritual growth, individually
and as a community. |
- Read one book a year to learn more about
the Catholic faith
- Attend one formation event a year, i.e.
Lenten Mission, bible studies, SPIRITuality Alive
- Once a year teach someone younger than
you about some aspect of following Jesus Christ
- Offer service at least once a year to
the school, religious education, youth or athletic program
- Utilize the parish school, religious education
and youth programs to assist you in the formation of your children
|
Charity/Justice
We
go forth to love and serve, sharing our God-given gifts with each other
and throughout the world. |
- Ask for and receive help from others when
you are in need
- Spend an average of one hour a week in
service to parish or community
- Reflect on and pray about the service
you have offered others
- Once a year engage your political leaders
in concerns for justice
|

to reconnect with God in the Body of Christ
