Mission History Who is St. Columbkille? Tour Bell Tower Installation of Fr. Damian Living Stations of the Cross |
Vatican directives on vessels for Holy Communion state that only non-breakable, precious metals can be used for the distribution of the Holy Eucharist. We ordered a new set of gold plated vessels from a local company that makes church goods. The new vessels have arrived and will be used for the first time the weekend of July 24-25. Our blue pottery vessels will be retired July 31, 2004. The new set consists of: 1-Priest’s Chalice, a large Ciborium-this needed to be specially made due to the size needed to fit in our Tabernacle, 10-individual wine cups, 2-large wine flagons, 2-large bread bowls, 10- individual bread bowls, 2-trays for holding the individual cups, and a water and wine cruet set. Not pictured:Ciborium is being specially made. It resembles the individual bread bowl with lid but only much larger. Water and Wine cruets. |
