Parish of Saint Columbkille—Go and make Disciples.

Women's Guild

The Women’s Guild welcomes all ladies of the parish to participate in their activities. All women parishioners are considered members of the guild whether active or inactive. The guild is affiliated with the Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women.

Meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month September through May at 7:00 p.m. in the Steinhausen Center.

The Care Committee of the Guild remembers the sick and families of the deceased of the parish with cards and prayers. They serve as hostesses for funeral dinners in the parish. Funds are provided for food items for dinners at the Stephen Center homeless shelter in Omaha one month of the year. They also prepare and serve this meal to those at the Stephen Center. The Guild helps provide funds for snack items in the ICU waiting room at Midland’s Hospital for families as they wait with their loved ones who are critically ill.

The Guild provides scholarship money to eighth grade students who will be attending a Catholic high school. Money is provided for various equipment needs in the Social Level kitchen and Steinhausen Center, for materials needed for making rosaries sent to the missions, for parish youth in various projects and for the parish Senior Happy Club. The Guild organizes the dessert table at Lenten Fish Fries. They welcome new active members and look forward to you joining them at their meetings. The Guild offers to its members a sense of Christian community and they kindle friendships that can last a lifetime.
