Knights of Columbus Council 6429

Knights of Columbus are Catholic gentlemen committed to the exemplification of charity, unity, fraternity, patriotism, and defense of the priesthood.

St. Columbkille Parish has been served by Archbishop Bergan Council 6429 since 1972. Brother Knights work to fulfill the central mission of the Order: striving in charitable works; serving the Church and unified in following its teachings; supporting brother Knights in their temporal and spiritual needs; acting for the good of their country; and giving aid to widows, orphans, the sick and the poor.

The Council has provided manpower and financial support for the parish festival, school, religious formation and other parish groups.

The Knights sponsor a pancake breakfast each month after the 7:30, 9:00, and 10:30 a.m. Masses. The breakfast is held in the church social level and is open to the public. They also hold their annual Wild Game Dinner in the spring of each year to benefit senior citizens and youth. Other activities include annual drives for Right to Life and mentally handicapped.

Men who are practicing Catholics are invited to join the Order. The Council meets in the Steinhausen Center on the fourth Tuesday of each month. If you would like more information about the Knights of Columbus, please email Bob Ecker or call 402-981-0965.
