Pastor's Report
• The school year got off to a great start and families did an
excellent job pledging to try and make this is great school year.
• We are still waiting for several families to submit their tithing cards
for next year but the outlook so far shows very little dollar increase.
There may be a need for a parents meeting again in February so we can give
our teachers a raise.
• A new server system is being added to the parish to link all computer
systems in the different buildings together. This will allow for in house
e-mail, access to calendars, etc. Once completed, all employees will then
receive a new e-mail address.
• There has been a change in the sacramental preparation for second
graders to involve the parents.
• This Sunday, Nov. 5th, after the 10:30 mass there will be a listening
session for the 5-day school and RE program.
• After mass on Thursday, Nov. 9th we will honor Sandy Watson for her
outstanding teacher award.
Principal's Report
• There are 519 students enrolled at St. Columbkille this year.
• The 6th grade students completed the yellow ribbon program.
• All the students walked a mile in PE this past week to raise money for
the Diabetes Foundation
• The schools application for accreditation has been mailed off and was
received before the Nov. 1st deadline.
President's Report
• Explained the role of the School Advisory Council is to assist Fr.
Damian and Chris Overkamp and passed out handouts explaining this role.
• Encouraged members to attend the listening session after mass on Sunday
to help create the 5 year plan. There is also a questionnaire on the
website that can be filled out.
• We need to recruit one more member for the board. If anyone knows of
