Meeting Minutes
April 14, 2007
Members Present: Phil Knicky, Fran Harrison, Christine Yanovich,
Jim Farhart, Dick VanHaute, Mark Narke, Chris Zeurlin, Valarie Galing,
Christine Overkamp, and Fr. Damian
Opening Prayer was lead by Phil Knicky
Principals Report
- The calendar for next year has been made with a tentative start date
of Aug. 15th and end date of May23rd for 1st -7th grade and May 16th for
kindergarten and 8th grade
- Repairs are being made to the keystone wall on the north side of the
building
- Spring pictures were taken and the school will receive one dollar for
every picture taken
- Nine projectors will be installed in classrooms
- Jessica Baird was hired to teach junior high math for next year and
Jill Tomson has been hired to teach and create our Spanish Curriculum for
next year
- Mrs. Monico will be out until May 11th and Judy Bauer is her long term
sub
- Mrs. Kelly Vincent will be with filling in for Mrs. Tanner until she
recovers from foot surgery
Pastors Report
- The budget for next year is almost finished and our teachers are still
at only 85% of PLV’s pay scale and our goal is 90%
- There was a $31,000 drop off between what school family’s pledged and
actually gave last year
- A new registration requirement will be to pay your tithing through EFT
Mandatory meetings for all school family parents will be held in the fall
to go over their role in a Catholic Education
- Gallup is taking over the survey study being conducted by the church
free of charge
- School fees for the 2007-2008 school year will be $880 per child
President’s Report
- Thanked HSA for all of their help and involvement in providing snacks
during our mission week
- There are four people interested in becoming members of the HSA next
year
- Election of new officers will be held in May with new members coming
on in June
- All members need to check and see if they have a policy book
- Next meeting will be May 3rd in the school library at 7:30pm
- There are four people interested in filling three positions on the SAC
for next year

Annual Report - reviewed and no changes were made; approved by all
- Policy #2201.1
Long Range/Planning Committee - reviewed and no changes were made;
approved by all
- Policy #2204.1
Communications - Reviewed with a revision to add web page and website
as a means of communication; approved by all members
- Reviewing 3000 Series in May
