Our archdiocesan safe environment policy states that all adults who have regular contact with children/youth must successfully complete the safe environment training and a background check for SE certification, which is valid for 5 years. This certification must be active for all who have regular contact with children and youth. The archdiocese is pleased to announce that our new safe environment on-line recertification is now available and ready to use. Initial Certification TrainingSafe environment trainings have been set for all personnel of the archdiocese, i.e. priests, deacons, paid staff and volunteers who have regular contact with children and young people at the time they enter service in the name of the church. Initial training sessions run approximately 2-hours. Successful completion of training requires that an individual be present for the entire session. Safe Environment Certification is good for a period of 5 years.
