That Man is You! is a Catholic fellowship program helping men to become better husbands, fathers and faithful followers of Christ. During a series of short weekly meetings, men study the Scriptures, share their faith journeys and learn the wisdom of the saints, all to help them meet the challenges facing men today.

The That Man Is You program originated in Texas in 2004 and is now used in many dioceses throughout the United States. That Man is You seeks to form men into better disciples of Jesus by harmonizing what has traditionally been referred to as the Three Wisdoms of the Catholic Church:

 Knowledge (secular knowledge including medical and social science);

Understanding (theology including Scripture, the Magisterium and Tradition);

Wisdom (contemplative or mystical knowledge found primarily in the writings of the saints).

Recognizing that modern people live in, and are comfortable with, a culture dominated by the findings of secular science, the program makes extensive use of medical and social science. The findings of medical science have proven invaluable in helping people understand the mystery of the human person, created male and female, while the findings of social science have proven indispensable in helping people understand the fundamental importance of marriage and the family to a larger society.

Those who wish to partake in That Man Is You will meet early on Thursday mornings before heading to work. The group will watch a video presentation on a topic and then have time for sharing their reflections and reactions to the information presented in the video. By praying and talking together with other men about the struggle to be a disciple in today’s world, the program hopes to move all those who attend to a greater faithfulness to their call to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
