There are multiple ways for people who have been impacted by the flood to seek assistance, and for our parishioners to share their time, talent, and treasure to provide assistance.

For excellent updates on flood relief efforts in Sarpy County, go to https://sarpyflood.org/2019/03/19/3/. Please note that flood waters are toxic, so proper protective gear, equipment, and training are necessary to safely enter and clean up impacted areas.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN IMPACTED BY THE FLOOD:

  • The Saint Vincent de Paul Society is providing some wonderful services for flood victims. Contact Barbara Slaven at (402) 699-1434 for assistance.
  • Free, professional clean-up assistance is available at crisiscleanup.org or by calling the crisiscleanup.org hotline at (833) 556-2476 through April 12th. This national database contains a Midwest Flood Tab, and registering your property on this site creates a work order that vetted relief organizations use to assign cleanup crews.
    • Two such vetted organizations providing cleanup assistance are:
      • Team Rubicon
      • The Southern Baptist Heartland Church Network
  • Distribution Centers for free water, food, clothing, hygiene and cleaning supplies: https://sarpyflood.org/flood-relief-locations/
  • Also at sarpyflood.org: Click on tabs for locations of essential services such as showers, free food and hot meals, financial assistance, assistance for businesses, and more.
