The Pastoral Council is a representative body of the faithful whose focus is on the whole community – the beliefs, hopes, joys, needs, sorrows, concerns, gifts and the pursuit of the mission of the Church. The Council has twelve members.

Membership comes from the other Councils and Commissions, and has four at-large members. Members serve staggered, three year terms, and attend monthly meetings.

The Pastoral Council is the coordinating and unifying structure of the parish community. The members gather the thoughts and ideas of the parish community and work together until a general agreement has been reached. The members then translate this consensus into parish policies and take action relative to the wellbeing of the parish.

Pastoral Council members are:

President: Curtis Edwards
Deborah Amentrout
Ann Caskey
Lynette Corbin
Fran Harrison
John Larsen
Barbara Mullner
Gretchen Reid
Karen Smith
Dale Sorge
Dick Van Haute
Ben Yanovich

The role of the Finance Council is to aid the Pastor in the administration of parish goods. In its advisory role, the Finance Council assists the pastor in the preparation of the annual budget, the creation and communication of periodic financial reports and protection of parish temporal goods. The Finance Council is to reflect the broad-based ideas of the parish community, and acts as a consultative resource for the pastor.

The St. Columbkille Athletic Council, believe that the Athletic Programs sponsored by this Council significantly influence the development of Christian values in all participants. These programs are a vital part of parish life for our youth, and are structured to support and promote the overall objectives of the parish. In addition to providing the development of athletic skill, our programs foster social interaction, self-esteem and Christian attitudes. The youth of our parish, not the athletic activity, is our key focus. By learning to set personal and team goals, and working to achieve these goals, our youth will learn that success is not measured by the final score, but by the efforts of individuals working together.

The St. Columbkille Educational Trust is an endowment that has been built through the generosity of many parishioners and supporters throughout the years.

The purpose of the endowment is to enhance the faith formation ministries of St. Columbkille Parish, including religious education, adult formation, youth ministry, Sacred Heart Preschool, and the elementary school.

The Educational Trust Board serves as the steward of the endowment funds. The Board serves to make contributions to the educational ministries of St. Columbkille that will have a long-lasting and far-reaching impact on those programs and their participants.

The Board is currently working to build the endowment in the Trust and to create a cash reserve that can be accessed in years of economic downturn when assistance from the Trust is in greatest need.

If you wish to contribute to the St. Columbkille Education Trust, you may by making weekly contributions using your parish envelopes, by remembering the Trust in your estate planning, and by supporting parish activities that contribute to the Trust, such as the parish fish fry during Lent.

If you have a desire to serve on the board, please contact John Larsen at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or Erin Diaz De Leon at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
