Infant baptisms are celebrated during the 9:00 a.m. or noon Mass on the third Sunday of the month. Please call the parish office at 402-339-3285 before your child is born to register for classes. You must be a registered parishioner here at St. Columbkille in order for your child to be baptized here.

*Registration is a two-part process: filling out an online form and attending a St. Columbkille 101 presentation held the first Sunday of each month. To learn more about our registration process, look here.

Baptism preparation is required for parents presenting their child to be baptized in the Catholic Church. St. Columbkille offers a program that provides parents with information on child development, parenting, support for their marriage, family spirituality, baptismal history, and theology.

Children over age seven in need of baptism participate in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children sessions offered by the Religious Formation Office. Please contact Lori Long at 402-339-0990 for information. All parents are expected to participate in the baptismal preparation program.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) is a catechetical process offered to adults who have chosen to become part of our Catholic tradition. This formation is a weekly process beginning with inquiry sessions that are offered year round. Parishioners are invited to welcome and support these future Catholics by serving as their Sponsor or Church Companion. Please call Nicole Cook at 402-339-0990 or visit our RCIA page for more information.
