Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) gives children the opportunity to hear the Sunday scripture readings proclaimed and explained on a level appropriate to their age. During the 10:30 a.m. Mass (Sept.-May), Kindergarten through fourth grade children are called forward and leave the sanctuary to listen to the readings from the Children’s Lectionary. They return to Mass at the time of the Children’s collection.

CLOW is a great way to share the Gospel readings with children during a Mass you are already attending! We are looking for volunteer pairs so that we can expand this ministry to the 9:00 a.m. Mass, as well. This is a great way to grow in your faith while sharing God’s word with the young children in our parish.

CLOW is a service and faith formation opportunity that is offered throughout the school year (not during the summer months). Safe Environment training is required, and materials to lead the readings are provided by the RE Office, as well as opportunities to shadow current ministry stewards.
