Becoming Catholic (OCIA, formerly RCIA)

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA is the process through which adults learn about the Catholic faith and discern whether to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (baptism, holy communion, confirmation) in order to be in Full Communion with the Catholic Church. Throughout OCIA, participants learn about the Catholic faith through prayer, study, and participation in the life of the parish community. If the Holy Spirit leads them to do so, they can then be confirmed in the Catholic Church at Easter Vigil.
